Sherlock Holmes was controversial, garnering mixed reviews. Leonard is unable to give a review because SOMEONE did not know how to tickle to keep him awake... (WeiLun FYI) Poor Delwin and Dlow were forced to watch it again, AWWWW. Thank GOD we didn't watch Alvin and the Chipmunks! (Qian Yi and Leonard high 5s)

Leonard's House was awesome!^#@^%#$&^@ What a fantabulous host he is! (Yeah right...)

Cheryn lost the game PIG, in which Qian Yi MADE UP ALOT OF RULES!! Dlow got bankrupt in poker in the first round... Sean convinced Qian Yi to go ALL IN against Leonard when she had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING = bankrupt! Nigel was awesome until Sean tricked him (that bastard...)...

Instead of Cheryn, Dlow, and Sean dancing, Qian Yi came up with a new deal! We would have to force Sean to dance! Dlow threatened him like a man, till Sean was on the verge of tears, whimpering. However, seeing as it was a happy occasion, we went easy on Sean("give chance la!!"), deciding to feed him luncheon meat instead. However he kept refusing -.- !!! Wasted us of our final precious minutes of 2009!

Qian Yi Nigel and Sean had a final face-off to decide who would dance SIngle Ladies! Nigel was charitable to Qian Yi and Sean felt bullied.

Thankfully Hazel and Jiayu came just in time to watch the "good" show (看好戏). Jiayu came right after her Batam trip (WHOOO!) where she bought groceries (Right.) and Hazel walked all the way to Leonard's house! Nice effort.

Qian Yi permed her hair! Sexay! Jia Wen dyed her hair! Cool! Hazel dyed her hair! But it looked barely dyed! ...futility. Leonard and Nigel tried to dye their hair.... FAIL. Not cool...

LJ's putting her leg over her head!!! GROSS!^#@ She took chocos again and is making alot of noise and moving alot, incessantly complaining that Life Sucks but her "high-ness" gives her away (but don't tell her that!)

Leonard had to walk to and fro between LJ's and his house THRICE to bring people to pick up their bags....

BTW, Sean, if you are reading this now.... We noticed some leftover food and other assorted rubbish in your hoody during dinner. Did it magically appear there?! AND where did it go!? This looks like a case for Sherlock Holmes! ANYWAY, given how understand and "mature" you are, we're sure you'll forgive us for not telling you! If you don't... there's always luncheon meat waiting for you at the next outing! :P So, we accept your forgiveness in advance! PS, did we mention? Poor Leonard has to eat luncheon meat the whole day tomorrow...

Now, we're all stoning all over the place. Shiyun has stopped playing the piano, lest it disturbs the neighbours, and well, the rest are just frolicking around basically... We had Truth or Dare, which failed sorta and a Joke telling session which kinda failed too. Well, at least now we know that Life Really Does Suck Afterall, in the words of Lejing. Nonetheless, we wish all you 6A people a Happy 2010, and all the best in your respective JC-s! Not to mention for your O level results too!

As you all know, CNY celebrations are going to be on Friday, 23 January. So, since it's a Friday, it'd be alright if we go out to play right?! :D

So SAFRA Yishun it is.
There are Bowling Alleys, Pool&Billards room, Indoor Air Weapons Range, Games Arcade, Party World KTV, etc etc! So for those who don't wish to do sporty stuff can go play arcade and go KTV or something. Fair fair right!

So we shall all meet at ATS on Friday,
And then proceed to go there together.
I have no idea how to get there, but Leonard's a member so he should know. But in case anyone's going alone (like me) here's the map on how to get there.

Outings update: Sentosa was fun! Played Dog and Bone, Poisonball, Monkey, Volleyball, Captain ball, Frisbee, Sea swim, watch High Sch Musical 3 and sunset and hot babes at the beach ^^

Board games and Movie at Leonard house! Fun too, played Risk where Leonard and Wenwei Raped Nigel who talked TOO MUCH and we won eventually. Play monopoly where Leonard won twice and WenYan and Wenwei landed on my Mayfair and owed 4000$ each!! WAtched "Just follow law" and ate KFC!

This is a follow up on our class chalet outing!

Response has been excellent thus far, thanks very much for your support!

We have 16 people who wants the outing (presumably they will go). But the more the merrier and the CHEAPER. So PLEASE try to get more people onto the blog and do the survey!

We have 2 options. Since $ is the most important issue, it will be the main deciding factor.

1. CostaSand Resorts: 4beds per room Approx 100$ (depend on type of room: Kampong, Normal, Double Storey etc.)

2. AlohaLoyang: 6 beds in a single storey bungalow.

RI people are available on the 5th n 6th of Nov (school hols start). Since Spore sch hols hasnt officially begun, it is offpeak: 140$!

Other option is Dec 3,4 (still ok) or 12th onwards (very high demand). But since Spore sch hols begin, its 250$.

So need some indication from y'all: 5/6 Nov, 3/4 Dec can make it?

Currently, Aloha Loyang is the choice.

Floppy Fats (who cowered in fear, rushed off to hiding, after being shoved by troll), and remainding plant life suffer The STENCH, wither, die and collapse to the ground. It seems that it might be too late...

3 MAN CLASS OUTING TREE PART 2: TOP WALK

So, having faced treacherous photo-taking bears and long detours and interesting conversations, we finally reached the best part of the class outing: the tree tops.

All of us have been there before, it being my second time, but the view was still supendous. If you read the previous post, we only made it in the nick of time, so the guard was sort of hurrying us. Poor dude, everyday has to make the long trek there, stone for the whole day, feed mosquitoes etc. Then again, he gets to breath fresh air, play on the treetop walk and read the many interesting brochures there (which he unfortunately did not want us to take any, and prefered us to go down and take, since he did not want to have to replenish them).

Anyway, pictures speak thousand words so here goes (btw, the bear was too heavy to go on the walk, and was very exhausted after the uphill climbs to the walk, panting and all, so we parted sadly with it with the guard looking at us bewilderedly. I forgot to mention, we have a strong feeling that the bear was the reason why we were allowed to go in at the last minute)ANyway, pictures:

Somehow I look hopelessly retarded... Just cover my face there, and admire the bee-ooooootiful scenery!! As you probably noticed, my face is shoved all the way to the side... Due to Daniel's (bet you are guessing which! I cant remember myself...) inferior photo-taking skills compared to the bear. Furthermore, the thing is bloody narrow, and Daniel (which one?!? its the judoka! can you believe it?! shocking eh?!? big strong dude scared of the potential of experiencing gravity for longer in case he falls, not making fun of him la, i aint no brave soul myself, although being a gymnast, I am cool with it) was bloody afraid of heights so he daren't move much so we had to make do with the lousy angles and the black stick interfering in the picture.

Which also explains my look of pure agony, trying to stick out my head as much as possible and trying to look good for the camera as well. And Daniel took the shot without warning me, so at that time, I was probably saying: I am stretching my neck like a bloody giraffe all because you don't wanna step backwards...

Another retarded picture, although slightly better, all the droplets on my face is a mix of sweat( the trek was long and arduous), rain (constant drizzling, mighty downpour at times) and bear saliva. Somehow, this is one of my least photogenic days...

This is a lovely picture, you can see the bridge stretching for a really long way, and some mist in the background. Lovely! My face is much better here (methinks), and I am

not standing so rigidly, but I am posing wierdly... Its a wierd day la, not my fault, how often do you get 3 ppl class outings with bears?!

stop hogging the

camera! Yup, so here's the Daniels! Actually, its not that Leonard finally stopped hogging the camera, its that Leonard finally persuaded them to stop being scared and take pictures. On our left, we see the forest real low down. This is the part where Leonard stopped and went: hey, pretty picture, w8, lemme take!

Daniels: NOOO TOO HIGH HIGH HIGH!! MOVE MOVE! But Leonard stood firm, for the sake of you happy blog readers, Leonard fought of two enraged Daniels and stood his ground long enough to take this pretty picture that y'all are admiring now and wishing you had the moral courage and photo skills that I have. Btw, since the bear is no longer with us, I can tell y'all the truth, there isnt a bear! We just put the cam on a bench on explored the self timer mode ^^

Another pretty scenic picture with mist at the back ^^. See, we have neared the end of the happy bridge where happy pictures were taken. It is sad right, ya, but don't cry. The journey is FAR from over!

To the left, we see the happy Daniels who just realised that they spent most of the culmination of the long trek whimpering and complaining about the heights, decided to take pictures before it was all over. This is a happy picture that Leonard used his long outstretched arm to take. Due to the intense stree Ri places on us, Daniel Low unfortunately fell asleep while taking this picture. His eyes could not take the toil of staying open anymore and drooped shut while he was still smiling. Judokas cant train their eyes very much but having to eat alot, their mouths are strong, so his strong jaw muscles kept his mouth open and smiling wide while he slept.

This is a fantastic excellent picture. omg!!! I look like a happy sailor going: land ahoy! After you have finish admiring this brilliant piece of art, continuing reading. This picture sadly have bad lighting... Oh well, all you need to know is that we are happy people.

This picture is so pro. It was a slight gradient so we seized the chance to use self timer! (please dont tell my mum I put the expensive camera on the wet floor...) Unfortunately, you cant really see us very much. But at least you should marvel in wonder on how on earth I manage to cram beside Daniel Low in the cram place...

So with this comes the end of the treetop walk. But need I mention it is only 5 pm! And the last final picture is taken at 619pm. Lots more await: 40 more pictures and a whole lot of narration from moi. But I shall stop from now because I have to go to school tomorrow (Yes, on a SATURDAY!!)

What started off as a 2 week in advance, well planned class outing with many positive responses slowly declined as the date drew near and people realised that their homework had been left untouched and that their CCAs had been left neglected.

From a good 20 people, it dropped to 7 on the day before and 3 just a few minutes before meeting time at 230pm... And that was how my many sms, calls, time and effort went down the drain...

To make things worse, the weather was bad, it had just rained and looked like more would come. But thank goodness the two Daniels were such optimistic people, saying that they still wanted to go despite the disappointment of such a pathetic turnout.

Actually, DK had already come all the way, not knowing about the poor turnout, and DL had already done all his homework ( yes, he is bloody retarded, felt very suaned as I had lots left... ). Anyway, these optimistic Daniels were soon to reap the fruits of their decision.

Off the three musketeers went, cutting through Singapore Island Country Club (SICC), heading for the treetop walk.

3km later...

We had trekked from Ai Tong to the forest path entry point, all the while catching up on the changes since the 2 year plus seperation, while braving the drizzle and walking towards huge dark storm clouds. Looking at the signages, we realised that we were only 1.4km away from the treetop walk, and thus, ventured happily into the forest trek.

Overly engrossed in our continuous conversation ( we still had not lost the talkativeness inherent in 6A as our teachers would enthusiastically lament), consisting of jokes on the definition of CLASS outings, the OBS experience, lamenting on how HCI had a longer recess despite only having half the student population size so they could spend much of their recess playing basketball, while RI students had to descend 7 storeys from their classes followed by a mad 200m sprint to the canteen with a grumbling stomach, before spending most of recess time waiting in line etc. Then, I saw a sign: Tree top walk: 1km in the opposite direction.

We realised that we had overshot and completely missed it, after laughing at ourselves (surprised? we were miraculously optimistic that happy day), and went backwards while continuing ranting. Then we noticed DL's Judo shirt with a judoka throwing a bear, and we happily changed the subject:

Me: Daniel...

DK: ?

Me: No, the other Daniel

DK: Orh

DL: yes?

Me: would you throw a bear that tries to eat you? Or would you bite it first?

Before long, we were nearing the entrance, yet not seeing any opening to any treetops. Sensing something amiss, we saw a beaten track into the dense jungle, with a treetop sign pointing vaguely at it, we decided to venture into the unknown.

Having to fend off slippery muddy slopes and thorny bushes, I decided, enough was enough! But does that mean we turn back in retreat and surrender?! NO! It meant: Me: Judoka go first

Thus, the judokah charged and bulldozed through.

Taken aback, the other Daniel and I followed cautiously behind (actually, we expected a dead end and didnt wanna waste energy detouring). DL was soon out of sight. THen, the terrible happened, there sounded like a scuffle, growling, biting and throwing. And DL came back happily, dragging a bear behind. All we could say was: Ah damn! detour!, and headed back to the entrance.

Then, it started to pour. And you wonder why the canopy keeps away sunlight so well but lets all the rain in... And we saw a frog! Leonard the happy photographer whipped out his camera and prepared to take a picture. It was a small frog.

To protect the camera from the rain, DL held the bear in one hand and used the other giant umbrella hand to shade the camera. Little did he know that he was blocking the happy photographer's view. SO Leonard fumbled with the zooming functions while straining to look through the giant hand. Leonard did not dare talk to the hand for seeing what the other hand was doing to the other bear was intimidating. ANd then the frog jumped away. Oh well.

Deciding that the rain was too heavy, and that the treetop walk was playing hide and seek, we decided to camp at a shelter.

Time: 330pm Here, we talked non-stop, indulge in DK's happy biscuits (he was the only who remembered to bring stuff, luckily, or the bear would have been eaten, and DK and I wont get any for sure!), and act like camera celebrities.

Half hour later...
410pm

Rain stopped, time to find the tree topwalk! Before long, we had made a complete detour back to the entrance. THEN it dawned upon us. The sign saying treetop walk was pointing further down the road...

Off we went, still very happy and optimistic people. But knowing that the walk closes at 5, and we were now walking in the proper 1.4km direction, we quickened our pace. Or ar least attempted to. DL was wearing slippers because he thinks he is very man, me: sandals, cause I thought we would have time to Kayak, and DK: boots. While walking "fast", we would soon slip back into an interesting conversation and slow down like Ah Mahs.

For eg, Leonard wondered if there was any danger posed by other schools teenagers, while jogging in RI PE Uni, since he did not want to sweat like mad on home clothes, and consulted DL. DL said that he did not get any negative responses while posing around in RI uni, except once. He and his team of judokahs were buying bubble tea innocently. Two people from other schools went: RI are &%(^ers!

DL, being a man, and another even more retardedly strong guy wanted to beat them up. But the others(judokas) told them it wasnt worth it. Leonard and DK were disappointed.

Leonard thinks: what a wasted opportunity, it would be like taking candy from rude babies, and there would be no evidence, when the whole team of judoka were done with those 2, they would be mere dust...

Oh well! 430pm...

We need to pee. At a secluded spot, and uncertain if we would have anymore such opportunities, well...

Then we continued up a slope... and... saw a ranger house and toilets. What risk! We quickly released the bear so we wont kena fine, and.... saw a sign: do not proceed to the treetop walk after 445: 400m. Time: 442

PANIK. We glanced at the sign and ran up a slope: many ginormous water containers from the reservoir: wrong place, down the slope and realised where the sign was pointing: second time where we misread signs... And CHoing ah!

Leonard quickly adjusted his watch 15min back, so he can feign ignorance and garner pity in case they were not allowed to the walk. Happily, there was no need for that, after aimless detours, 6km plus,we arrived at our destination and was allowed in without hesitance. This long winded entry will be continued soon.

Hey guys again,

Thx Yuhan for providing the dates. Since she is the only one who gave dates, we will follow hers. Its too late to wait any longer, half the hols almost up.

We will have it on the last week of holidays, 18th June, Wed. Meet at Ai Tong Bus Stop at 2.30pm. We will walk through Singapore Island Country Club and to Mac Ritchie Tree top walk. Bring some snacks, eg, chips, and water and some things to do at Mac Ritchie. Not sure if there will be Kayaking, so we can play frisbee, ball games etc.

Please suggest any ideas on what we can do there and volunteer to bring any thing as well.

Also, please try to get all 6A folks to read this blog so as many people as possible knows about this. We will try to set up another medium for communication after we get everyone's updated contact details during the outing.

1. Tree top walk at Mac Ritchie

Meet at Aitong, go walk walk, then go mac ritchie for kayaking. Sit on top kayak, dun need any certificate, just money. 5$ an hour i think. After that we eat roti prata at upper thomson road area and then invade nigel's house. k? lol, last bit very tentative la, but this is just an idea

2. Go Bishan Sports complex.

Our many trackers and ex-trackers can have lots of fun at the sports stadium. Then can go swimming also. Can push nigel in and see if he can swim!!! He sure can la, waterpolo lei, dun play play. Dun wanna mess with him in his territory!!! SO, we also can go to "my turf" the gymnastic gymnasium, courtesy of Del and I.

Yep, so we have lots of lovely ideas. now comes the big question.

WHEN!??! Pls respond in the tagboard ASAP. Give details like which option u prefer, and which date would be good. Example, last week of hols, weekday/weekend, morn/afternoon/night etc.

Hello all!

This is the details for a class outing on 28th dec 2007!!!!!!

We are to meet @ the nearest mrt station @ east coast park, Bedok, @ 11am. We will wait there @ the control station where we tap the card, for up to 15min, before going to the McDonalds nearby. We will eat lunch together with those who came on time, while waiting for the latecomers @ Mcdonalds. @ 1145, we will head to the bus interchange to take bus 401 to east coast park.

We will play games and stuff until around 6-8, and eat dinner @ the many eateries over there.

Activities include, treasure hunt, water bomb fight, frolicking in the beach, volleyball, frisbee, cycling. These are all I can think of. Anyone with any other ideas pls suggest, and also, pls volunteer if you can, to bring equipment for the games and stuff.

Lets make this a success! Our only chance to meet up until next June!!!! Please spread the word around of the class outing. Sms me or Email me or Call me or Shout out of your window, to tell me if you can make it or not.
